BUFFALO, NY (August 4, 2022) – Person Centered Services CEO Bridget Bartolone announced to employees today that she plans to move on from the organization at the end of this year.

Person Centered Services, headquartered in Buffalo, provides Care Coordination for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Bartolone first came to the organization in 2013, as a consultant, when New York State’s Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) planned an overhaul of the coordination of supports for people it serves.  In that role, Bartolone worked through policy reform, system transformation, and the creation of a key demonstration project that paved the way for the current CCO/Health Home model.

She has led Person Centered Service from concept to now a growing organization with more than 750 employees in 18 counties, with a mission of connecting people to the care, support and opportunities that maximize their quality of life.

“I was first introduced to the I/DD community by engaging with the original PCSWNY provider agencies across the 18 counties of WNY. Together, we accomplished a great deal. Throughout that consulting journey, the concept of the CCO/HH was realized and Person Centered Services Care Coordination Organization was officially formed in the late fall of 2017, when I assumed the CEO position,” said Bartolone in an email to employees Thursday.

“Like any career change, this is certainly bittersweet, but I have no doubts that our more than 17,400 individuals will continue to be well served with the current team,” says Bartolone. “The leadership team is well positioned to continue to carry this organization, and CCO model, forward with success. The organization is in great health- financially, organizationally, and culturally. For me, the time is right to go back to business consulting. I am grateful to have had this tremendous opportunity and experience.”

Person Centered Services Board Chair, Rhonda Frederick noted, “Bridget has been an extremely capable, intelligent, and driven leader. She poured a tremendous amount of herself into this organization, both as a consultant and later as our CEO. We cannot thank her enough for her leadership, contributions, and results.”

The Board of Managers has formed a search committee and will begin a search immediately.
