Your voice matters in advocating for those with intellectual and development disabilities so their increasing needs are met and personal opportunities are achieved!

As a Care Coordination Organization with the mission to connect people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to the care, support and opportunities that maximize their quality of life, Person Centered Services collaborates with our owner, provider and other human service agencies throughout our service area.  Together, we all rely on support from the New York State budget to fulfil our missions.

The time is NOW!

This week is critical for taking action to connect with our Governor and your local elected representatives as our NYS Assembly and Senate members will be at home before returning to Albany to finalize our state budget.  The close of the state budget is just weeks away.

We encourage you to share this link above and information with your friends, family and other contacts so they may also advocate to their local officials.

What are we advocating for?

An additional investment in total of 8.5% to meet the cost of inflation, plus a $4,000 Direct Support Wage Enhancement.

Why is this important?

As a mission-driven organization, we help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their potential.  We want sustainability of services and supports for the people we serve.  After decades of underfunding, it’s become more challenging for the people we serve to maintain their Direct Support Staff and the services that we link and refer to!

There are a variety of graphics available if you choose to share on your personal social media to raise awareness. Click here to more information on how you can advocate on social media!
