Person Centered Services was grateful to host Kerri Neifeld, Commissioner of the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). On May 4, she met with company leaders, Care Coordinators, and individuals we serve to learn more about the work we do and the needs of our communities. The event took place at our West Seneca offices and offered a chance for us to connect with a major partner in our efforts.

Commissioner Neifeld heard presentations on Eligibility/Enrollment and Clinical Operations, then interacted with families we support during a round table discussion. Care Coordinators Faith Metzger, Abigail Starkey, Elisabeth Nagel, Heather Johnson, Michele Halbert, and Stacey Zinck were accompanied by individuals, families, and natural supports as they spoke candidly about their successes, as well as areas where the state could offer more assistance.

“It was a true honor to have Commissioner Neifeld visit us,” says CEO Bridget Bartolone. “Our leadership, staff, and individuals really showed the value we bring to the table, demonstrating just what makes our company so extraordinary.”

We look forward to partnering with OPWDD during the years ahead to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities reach their potential!
