After decades of being a Buffalo Bisons superfan, Mark Aichinger now has many fans of his own!

On Septiembre 2, 2023, an entire Buffalo Bisons baseball game was dedicated to Mark, who has become something of a local legend. His unique cheers have been a constant presence in Section 102 of Sahlen Field for over three decades.

The first 2,000 fans who came to the event received a free bobblehead featuring Mark’s likeness. There were also T-shirts for sale that highlight Mark’s signature “Hey, You Stink!” tagline. During Bisons games, Mark points to his armpit and shouts this phrase to taunt the opposing team.

Mark was on-site for a meet-and-greet and then invited to throw the first pitch. At one point, the “Macarena” was also blasted over the speakers — one of Mark’s favorite songs.

Cara Preziosi, Mark’s Care Coordinator at Person Centered Services, was so excited to see Mark celebrated at the game. She enjoyed watching the Bisons’ biggest fan receive the spotlight he deserves.

“I love Mark’s enthusiasm,” says Cara. “He is very funny and great to work with.”

Mark was born with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as a rare eye disease and heart condition. His family was deeply invested in his care, ensuring his health and safety as he grew older. At age 59, he loves living in his family home alongside his brother Greg.

Person Centered Services is proud to coordinate care for Mark as he navigates the health care system and engages in programs and employment opportunities he enjoys. He currently holds a packaging job through the Cantalician Center, which gives him a great sense of purpose.

“I ensure Mark lives a stable life,” says Cara, who is continuously securing access to resources, such as benefits through the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP).

Person Centered Services is grateful to serve people like Mark as they influence their communities and pursue their best lives!
