Patrick Harrison is a Care Coordinator based in Elmira who serves individuals throughout Chemung County. As a Tier 4 Care Coordinator, he supports people with higher needs, connecting them to the services that help them reach their full potential.
How long have you been with Person Centered Services?
I started on July 2, 2018.
How did you first hear about the company?
I heard about Person Centered Services from previous Medicaid Service Coordinators who worked at the same agency I was employed at.
What is your favorite thing about working at Person Centered Services?
Working with the individuals on my caseload! I’m a Tier 4 Care Coordinator and I support many younger kids, so I collaborate a lot with schools to ensure they get the best education possible. I also enjoy connecting individuals with services so that they can have a better quality of life and their caregivers get a sense of relief knowing that they have a team to support them.
How does your work help Person Centered Services thrive?
By adhering to our mission and values, I provide a service that allows individuals and parents to trust me and know that I am always doing my best for them. I’ve had parents recommend Person Centered Services to other parents who have a child that may qualify for services and that makes me feel good about my job and the people I work with.
What advice do you have for other Care Coordinators?
Think outside the box because sometimes you have to be creative to connect an individual with the services they are looking for. No two days will ever be the same and, ADVOCATE, ADVOCATE, ADVOCATE!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work or what is one interesting fact people may not know about you?
In 2010, I retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of active duty service.
Person Centered Services is so grateful for the work of Care Coordinators like Patrick who make our mission possible!
