DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, March 21\, 2024 from 2pm – 6pm\, the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Region 1 Satellite Office at 1021 Broadway Street in Buffalo will be hosting an open house. \nThis is an opportunity to drop in and meet the people from the regional office including representatives from the Front Door\, Eligibility\, Self-Direction and other departments. The event is targeted toward people who do not speak English\, Care Coordinators\, people with intellectual or developmental disabilities and their families\, and anyone who would benefit from talking one-on-one with someone at OPWDD about their circumstances. \nLanguage interpretation will be available\, as well as some activities for children. If you have the need for the flyer in a particular language\, please email Katherine.M.Zale@opwdd.ny.gov. \nPerson Centered Services will have team members present to share information and resources with guests. The DDAWNY Family Committee\, Self-Advocacy Association of NYS\, Parent Network\, Center for Self-Advocacy\, Person Centered Services\, and Prime Care will also be in attendance at the event. \n
