How long have you been with Person Centered Services?

I have been with Person Centered Services since July 1, 2018.

How did you first hear about the company?

I first heard about the organization when the opportunity to transfer from The Resource Center to Person Centered Services was discussed.

What is your favorite thing about working at Person Centered Services?

Person Centered Services is the first company I have worked for that takes care of not only the individuals we support but also its employees and I believe that this is so important.  As employees, we need to feel supported and cared for in order to do our jobs, taking care of others.  At Person Centered Services, I have seen a lot of growth since July 2018 and I look forward to the future!

My favorite thing about working at Person Centered Services is most definitely connecting the people I support to what they need or desire.  It is so gratifying to put the individuals I serve in touch with what makes a difference in their lives whether it be reimbursement for something that may ease their financial burden, finding durable medical equipment that makes their life easier, or helping them to find a better place to live that they love.  Being a Care Coordinator and part of the Person Centered Services team is very gratifying!

How does your work help Person Centered Services thrive?

I am a true believer in “It takes a village.”  Care Coordinators are just one part of a large company where each department does its own part to make everything come together.  We as Care Coordinators help Person Centered Services thrive by being blessed to support individuals in person.  We have the very important job of getting to know all of those we serve on an intimate level so we can meet their needs and desires and ultimately lead them toward their best lives.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work or what is one interesting fact people may not know about you?

Outside of work, a lot of my time is spent taking care of my family, which includes my husband, teenage boys Colin and Camden, and dogs Roxie and Finn.  I also love books, especially nonfiction, and I spend way too much time doing my nails weekly and perusing Pinterest for home décor ideas!

Person Centered Services is thankful for the contributions of Care Coordinators like Tammy and all they do to help people reach their potential!
