How long have you been with Person Centered Services?

My first day with Person Centered Services was in training on June 29, 2018.

What would you like people to know about your role and the work you do?
My role is to support the Care Coordinators who I supervise. We work together to promote quality services, meaningful contacts, and to enhance the lives of the people we serve.
What do your everyday tasks look like?
My typical tasks include reviewing activity logs, approving Life Plans and fielding questions. We have regular meetings with our Care Coordination Team as well as our Supervisor and Director Team. I speak to the Care Coordinators who I supervise throughout the day/week and meet with them individually at least monthly. I also participate in various trainings and communicate with individuals and families. My daily tasks are generally determined by the needs of those who I supervise.
How does your work help Person Centered Services thrive?
The Care Coordinators on my team are hard working and dedicated professionals. We demonstrate Person Centered Services’ “Mission, Vision and Core Values” throughout our daily activities for the people we serve. We also help our company thrive by providing high quality services while efficiently completing billable tasks that help us remain financially viable.
What is your favorite thing about working at Person Centered Services?
The people! I am very fortunate to have a great team that I supervise, as well as a great supervisory team and Director. I have been reunited with many people from my Medicaid Service Coordinator days, as well as those from partnering agencies including people and families. We have a great balance of work, camaraderie, and a focus on what is important for the people we serve.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work or what is one interesting fact people may not know about you?
I enjoy gardening, camping, road trips and time with friends and family. I have traveled with my children to see The Avett Brothers live more than 30 times in the last 13 years.
We’re so grateful for Brenda’s many contributions to our company and for all of our Care Coordination Supervisors!
